SLRM project launched on pilot basis at Vandse

Kollur, Sep 17, 2017: Prime Minister Modi’s ambitious Solid and Liquid Resource Management Project was launched on a pilot basis at Vandse by Udupi Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis.

Speaking on the occasion,  the DC said the project is aimed at findng a solution to the increasing problem of garbage management due to a drastic rise in waste  generation.  She also stressed the need for waste recycling.

ZP Standing Committee President  K Babu Shetty inaugurated a Goshala on the occasion.  Vandse Gram Panchayat President Udaykumar Shetty presided over the function.
