SJEC to host webinar on ’Engineering Education: Post COVID-Scenario’ on May 16

Mangaluru, May 13, 2020:   Amidst the chaos caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, has come up with a unique initiative to give clarity about the prevailing confusion regarding admissions to Engineering through a webinar titled “Engineering Education: Post COVID-Scenario” on Saturday, 16 May 2020 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

As it is evident from the title, the webinar intends to throw some light on the impact of COVID-19 in the field of Engineering Education which is a major cause for concern among most of the current PU students and their parents. Simultaneously, the webinar will also touch base on the current online mode of education and job opportunities for Engineering graduates.

The hour-long webinar is broadly going to cover the following topics:
1. Adapting to Digital Teaching-Learning Strategies by Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC.
2. Admissions to Engineering Colleges 2020-21 by Dr Vincent Crasta, Professor & Head,  Department of Physics at SJEC.
3. Careers in Engineering: Current & Post COVID Scenario by Ms Sangeeta Ferrao, Placement Officer of SJEC.
