SIO to organize regional conference on August 14th at Townhall

Mangaluru Aug 12, 2016: Student Islamic organization (SIO) to organize a regional conference on the theme “Be Moderate – Say No To Extremism: Balanced Thoughts for Constructive Society” on August 14th at Town hall, informed Talha Ismail State Advisory Council SIO Karnataka.

Addressing to the press at Press Club today August 12 Friday he said that, today there are lot of efforts are being done to spread communal and extremist thoughts among the people at national and international level in a very systematic way because of which differences are created between the people which resulted in hatred and intolerance, which fostered extremist thoughts at both individual and collective level, he added.

He also said that, evil elements in society today are trying to utilize students and youth for violent activities. On the one hand they are used as political tool and on the other hand they are isolated from society in the name of spirituality.


Iqbal Hussain National President of SIO India, Dr Chandra Poojari Proffessor Department of Development Studies Kannada University Hampi, Janab Mohammed Kunni President Jammat-e-Islami Mangalore and Labeed Shafi Zonal President SIO Karnataka are expected to participate in this regional conference.
