SFI leader booked for posting morphed image of Modi on Whatsapp

Mangaluru, Feb 13, 2015: Based on a complaint filed by Dayananda, Secretary of the Mangaluru unit of BJP, the Ullal Police have registered a case against Jeevan Raj Kuthar, State Secretary of the SFI  under Section 66(A) of IT Act on the charges of posting a morphed image offending Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Whatsapp.

The image showing AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal as a hunter and Modi as a hunted animal had gone viral on Whatsapp soon after the AAP victory in Delhi.

The complainant has said that the image projects the prime minister in poor light and has also hurt the sentiments of Indians. He has also demanded stringent action against the accused.
