SCDCC Bank posts profit of Rs 23.75 crore for the year 2015 -16

Mangaluru June 13, 2016: South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd (SCDCC Bank) has made profit of Rs 23.75 crores in the year 2015-2016 said President of SCDCC bank Dr. M N Rajendra Kumar.

 

 

 

Addressing to the press at Head office in Mangaluru today Monday June 13, he said that the bank has come giving low interest loans to farmers since many years and also the bank has recovered the given amount from them which has become a success. Since many years we have targeted around Rs 5300 crores and we made a profit with Rs 5548.58 crore. This year 2016, we have target about Rs 6300 crores, he said.

Future Plans

The SCDCC bank is planning to implement interbank Mobile Payment System (IMPS) through National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in the future, said the president. He said that the implementation of IMPS will help customers to transfer money using mobile phones within the Bank and also to the other Banks. This will boost Banking transactions. Using mobile phone number and Mobile Money identification Number (MMID) money can be transffered, he explained.

He said that the SCDCC Bank will shortly start internet Banking faciltiy. Apart from this, the Bank will install ATMs in the taluk centres.
