SC to hear the adverse effect of Yettinahole project, from today

Mangaluru, Sep 06, 2019: Local greens of DK, took an appeal against  NGT’s dismissal of case on Yettinahole project in May, to the Supreme Court (SC) .

Environmentalist K N Somashekhar spearheaded a higher appeal to the SC. The top court admitted for investigation and ordered an inquiry from September 6, Thursday, today.  Damage to the Western Ghats through the Yettinahole project and the secrecy behind the project is the focus of the SC enquiry. Yettinahole project  will cause major damage to the flora and fauna of the Western Ghats.   The  project has been causing serious fear of losing Netravati river which is the main stay of the west coast.
