SC puts off hearing to Nov 13 ; No hurdles for first Kambala of the season

Mangaluru, Nov 07, 2017: Kambala lovers of the region have heaved a sigh of relief with the Supreme Court adjourning  the hearing of the petition filed by PETA against the State Government ordinance that allows Kambala. The Court  which has not stayed the ordinance has  ordered that notices be issued to the Union and State Governments which will now have to present their views before the court  during the hearing on November 13.

Incidentally, the first Kambala of the season slated to be held at Moodbidri’s Kadalakere Nisargadhama on November 11  can now  go ahead as scheduled.
