In a press release, he said that the loss has been estimated at more than Rs10 crore in the form of damage to machinery, raw materials, electrical installations, structural damage and production losses.

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, the president said that there are flaws in the stormwater drains in areas which have to be redesigned and constructed to avoid further devastation.

A committee has been formed by the secretary, MSME to submit a report. He appealed to the chief minister to intervene and expedite the process.

In the memorandum, he said that two hours of sudden downpour resulted in two to four feet water in the industrial units.

This has resulted in huge damage to raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, motors, electrical panels, and transformer structural damage. There was production loss for two days.
