Rs 30 cr for reconstruction of damaged vented dams in Belthangady : Minister Madhuswamy

Belthangady, Oct 26, 2019:  J C Madhuswamy, State Minister for Law and  Minor Irrigation has said that a  sum of Rs 30 crore would be released on behalf of the Minor Irrigation Department for the reconstruction of the vented dams  damaged during the recent floods in Belthangady taluk.

 

 

 

The Minister was speaking to reporters after visiting the affected Kukkavu, Aranapade and Parlani areas in the taluk on October 26, Saturday.

Stating that there was a demand for construction retention walls to rivers in areas ravaged by floods, the Minister said  the issue would be discussed with experts.

He was accompanied by local MLA Harish Poonja, local elected representatives and officials.

The Minister  earlier visited  Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala.
