Rs 10 lakh for Harekala Hajabba’s school, promises minister

Mangaluru, Dec 07, 2019:   Addressing the gathering during his visit  to Government Higher  Primary School, in New  Padpu in Harekala village, more popularly known  as Harekala Hajabba’s school; DK District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary indicated government appoints teachers on the basis of merit to government schools, the public should stop discriminating and start encouraging government schools.

The minister while recollecting Hajabba’s efforts to build the school in a remote village, declared that Hajabba had sacrificed his entire life in order to make the school model.

“I will release Rs 5 lakh out of the promised amount of Rs 10 lakh to build a playground and provide other facilities for the school,” the minister said and promised to hold talks with the RTO on operating a KSRTC bus to help students and residents in Harekala.
