Rosary Exhibition at Rosario in city from November 9 to 12

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2017: An announcement from representatives of the Mangalore Catholic Diocese spells out  that ’An exhibition of Holy Rosaries" from all over the world not less than 50,000, and related holy objects and literature will be open on display, November 9 to 12, all 4 days at the Rosario Cathedral Cultureal Hall, it will be inaugurated on November 9, at 10 am.  by the Bishop of Mangaluru, Rev Dr. Aloysius P D’Souza, The exhibition can be visited by public from 9 am to 8 pm, all the 4 days.

This exhibition of the  phenomenal Rosary devotion,  is a part of the 450 years celebrations of the establishment and existence of the Catholic Church in Mangaluru, with the arrival of  indigenous Konkani Catholics from Goa in January 1568.  In the course of 2018 there will be several celebrations to mark this facet of local history of 450 years.

The rosary exhibition is set to be a unique and enlightening experience for people from all walks in the city for the very first time. It will feature, rosary beads blessed used by saints. At least rosaries from 80 countries will figure; about 200 statuettes/pictures of Mother Mary, and 100 or more different crucifixes. It is all arranged by one individual who has taken this on as a regular mission. All interested are invited, no fee, see the tide of flowing rosaries at Rosario Cathedral


It is also stated that   ‘Pavitraatma Abhishekotsva 2017’, a four days Karnataka State level Catholic Charismatic Convention is set to be held from Nov 9  to Nov 12, 4 to 8 pm, at Rosario Cathedral grounds to mark Golden Jubilee (50 years: 1967-2017) of Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church world wide.
