Mangaluru, Aug 4,2017:  A meeting convened on August 4, Friday under the leadership of District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai to discuss the controversy revolving around the naming of the road from Ambedkar Circle to Light House Hill via Catholic Club, failed to arrive at any consensus.

The representatives of St Aloysius College who attended the meeting held at the DC office  stood firm on their stand that the road continued to be known as Aloysius College Road.  Meanwhile, representatives of Vijaya Bank Employees and Officers’ Organisation  too  were hell bent upon naming the road after Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty, the Founder of the Bank.
