Rider killed in bike-truck collision at Hangalur

Kundapur, April 21, 2014 : A  bike rider  died on the spot when his  two-wheeler was hit by a pick-up truck  at Hangalur  on the NH 66 late night on April 20, Sunday.

The deceased is Chandrashekhar Shetty (39), son of Korgi Srinivas Shetty hailing from Sunnari village. The mishap occurred when Chandrashekhar was on way home from the Foodmark Bar and Restaurant at Basrur Junction where he worked as a waiter.

It is learnt the mishap took place just a little distance away from the bar where Shetty worked. He is said to have reported to duty on Sunday after three days of leave.
