Retired captain of ship stabs himself to death

Udupi Sep 24, 2018: A retired captain of a ship who was residing at Thonse  has  reportedly ended his life by stabbing himself at Manipal late night on  September 23.

 

The deceased is 68 year  old Oliver Valentine Lewis.  It is said that Oliver  stabbed himself on the stomach  right inside his Ford car  near the residence of his wife’s  younger sister  at Manipal. He has reportedly left behind a death note  at his home in which he has  stated that he alone was responsible for his death.

It is learnt the wound Oliver had inflicted on himself was so severe that his  intestines had come out. SP Lakshman Nimbargi and other senior police officials visited the spot.

Manipal Police are investigating the case.
