Retired Lecturer dies in Road Mishap near BC Road

Bantwal May 4, 2016: A retired lecturer of Shri Ramakunja PU College dies in a road mishap at Ponnodi near BC Road Kaikamba on May 3rd.

Deceased has been identified as Laxminarayana Verna (63) hailing from Kundapur

As per the sources Laxminarayana Verna and his wife Savitha and his daughter Sharada were returning from Mangaluru after dropping another daughter at CA Examination centre. At Ponnodi, car rammed in to the median and toppled in which Verna sustained serious injuries and died on the way to the hospital.

He joined Ramakunja School in the year 1978 as Sanskrit teacher and served for 38 years and retired in the year 2014.

Verna survived by wife, a son and two daughters.
