Retd official loses Rs 3 lakh in honey trap case ; 6 arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 22, 2018: Kavoor Police have arrested six persons on the charges of honey trapping a retired official and fleecing him of Rs 3 lakh rupees. The honey trapping incident is learnt to have taken place  quite a few months ago on March 20, but came to light quite light.

 

Sources revealed that a woman was reportedly offering massage service to the official at a house at Maryhill when two men who entered the house, captured video footage of the two in nude and demanded Rs 3 lakh from the official who  duly made the payment without any  resistance.

Kavoor Police who gathered information about the same later arrested six persons.

Meanwhile, shockingly, investigations revealed that the  cell phone number  which the accused lady used to  call the official belonged to a CCB employee who was duly served a notice by the Commissioner. It has been gathered that he had given his SIM to the woman who was an acquaintance.

Meanwhile, the case was probed by an ACP who has  submitted his report on October 22.
