Resolve Kodikal-Kottara flyover problem: MLC

Mangalore, Oct 14, 2014:  MLC Ivan D’Souza  directed the Mangalore City Traffic Police and National Highway Authority of India officials to take steps to ensure the smooth flow of traffic at Kottara-Kodikal flyover.  Speaking after inspecting the area following complaints on several accidents, he said that allowing the movement of vehicles on a narrow service road is dangerous. There is a need to take measures to check traffic congestion.

 

He said that tender has been invited for the construction of an underpass at Nanthur. He directed the officials to incorporate changes in the movement of vehicles on the route till the tender process is complete.   The police officials were directed to deploy traffic police at Kottara - Kodikal road.
