Renowned Tulu writer Seetaram Kulal no more

Mangaluru, July 28, 2019: Renowned Tulu writer Seetaram Kulal passed away on July 28, Sunday. He hailed from Bejai in the city.

Kulal was famous for the several ever popular  Tulu movie songs  most importantly the "Mokeda Singaari, Untude Vayyari" song. He had  penned songs for as many as 11 Tulu movies and some of the popular songs penned by him include  "Dingiri Mama Dingiri Mama Podidu Parada"  and "Pakkilu Mooji onje goodudu badukonduge."

Seetaram Kulal was unique in his own way and never accepted any remuneration for any  of his works including songs that he penned.

He had won several awards including Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy Award, Tulu Siri and Tulu Sahitya Ratnakara."
