Ready to contest LS polls if party wishes so : Ramanatha Rai

Bantwal, June 27 2018: Former minister B Ramanatha Rai has said that he  was ready to contest the next Lok Sabha elections if the high command gave him an opportunity.


Ramanatha Rai Speaking to reporters at his office at BC Road on June 27, Wednesday, he said as a dedicated party man he was committed to abide by the decision of the  high command.


He said all the projects initiated in Bantwal during  the Congress government’s tenure have secured administrative approval and that the works would commence once tender process is complete.

He said though he has strived his level best for the development of the constituency the malicious propaganda against him was still on. He said a two-lane road project between BC Road and Punjalakatte worth Rs 1576 crores has secured administrative approval .

On the Mullarapatna bridge collapse he said sand extraction was underway here since 15 years   and that the activity was in progress even when there was the BJP government.  "Everyone knows who is behind this, the weakened bridge has now collapsed," Rai said.

 Party leaders B H Khader, Abbas Ali were also present.
