Ravi Katapady wins Rs 12.5 lakh in KBC, to use prize money for social cause

Udupi, Jan 16, 2021:    Ravi Katapady, an outstanding  social activist from Udupi who extends financial aid to sick children using the funds he raises by donning  unique costumes during Janmashtami in Udupi every year,  has won Rs 12.5 lakhs in Kaun Banega Crorepathi programme.

Ravi had the opportunity to be on the hot seat with  host Amitabh Bachhan  in the show aired on January 15, Friday night.  Ravi who participated along with  Amba Behan has jointly won Rs 25 lakhs. Ravi has said he would use his share of prize money worth Rs 12.5 lakhs towards  social service.

Ravi has said it was a momentous occasion of his life to be on stage with Big B and Anupam Kher and also recalled how  Amitabh spoke in Tulu "Udupi Bokka Kudlada Janakuleg  Namaskara," during the show.
