Rashtriya Hindu Andolan demands security for Amarnath Yatra

Mangalore, July 20, 2014: Members of the Rashtriya Hindu Andolan staged a protest in front of the DC office in the city on July 20, Sunday in support of several demands including provision of suitable protection to Amarnath Yatra pilgrims and also to prevent maligning of Hindu saints.

 

The protestors also urged the Union Government to pressurise China to withdraw the map published by it recently showing some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Kashmir.

The Andolan activists strongly felt that some communal elements were trying to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra by attacking pilgrims. Such acts should be foiled, they said.

Vivek Rai, Vijayalskshmi, Ajith Sudhir and other activists participated in the protest.
