Rash and negligent driving: four killed including two pedestrians

Mangaluru  May 12, 2015: As the habit of rash and negligent driving increased among drivers resulted in four people including two pedestrians succumbed to injuries in Dakshina Kannada district police limit.

One woman and several passengers sustained injuries when a KSRTC buses lost control of driver and fell in to rain water storm on Monday morning May 11 at near Nelyady, According  to sources, the driver of the bus veered towards left in a bid to escape head-on collision with a lorry. Due to heavy rain, the bus slipped around 100 meter and slipped to the side.


In an another accident reported from Belthangady one Siddique (22)died while vehicle he was traveling colluded with anotheron May 11 Monday evening.


A private bus knocked down one Dhamodara Das of Idkidu village in Bantwal taluka and succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital on 10 May evening. He was walking on the side of the road and the bus dashed against him The police registered a case against driver of the bus one Nagabushan.
In another case reported from Venoor in Belthangady taluka one Ananda Parava (55),  pedestrian   died on the spot after omni car knocking down him with serious injuries. Venoor Police registered a case against one Verendra Hegde, who drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and causing the death.

In Puttur one auto driver Ramdas drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized on May 10. As a result auto rickshaw driver Ramdas and Aishle who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries. Puttur Traffic police registered a case against the driver.
