Rape committed by father of 14 children at Kattipalla

Mangalore, July 7, 2014: Hameed (45), aresident of Katipalla II block, reportedly raped a 14 year-old girl, who was staying in a rented house near his house, according to a complaint. It is said that the accused was frequently visiting the victim’s house and the victim’s mother too did not suspect the accused as he was her neighbour.

 

The 45-year-old man with two wives and 14 children has been arrested on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl in Surathkal police station limits on July 6.
It is reported, about a week ago, the accused visited the victim’s house when her mother was not at home and allegedly raped the girl.  The victim’s mother questioned her daughter due to suspicion, when she revealed the crime committed against her and immediately a complaint was lodged with the police. Police have reportedly said that the accused Hameed was also involved in many crimes including robbery. Further investigations are on.
