Bengaluru, April 29, 2019: Ramya, Congress’ social media chief, on Monday tweeted yet another controversial meme in which she appeared to compare Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany who was responsible for the World War II and the horrors of Holocaust that led to the deaths of millions of Jews and other victims. Ramya, also known as Divya Spandana, tweeted a picture of both PM Modi and Hitler and urged Twitterati to share their opinion on it.

The meme shared by Spandana showed a picture of Hitler pulling the ears of a young girl, along with a picture of PM Modi, in which the Prime Minister is seen smiling while holding the ears of a young boy. Spandana captured her photograph saying, “What are your thoughts?”

At the time of the publication of this article, the tweet by the Congress leader had garnered over 500 ’retweets’ and more than 1,700 ’likes’. Many of the Twitterati who commented on the past slammed Spandana for her tweet and responded by mocking her and the Congress leadership, including party chief Rahul Gandhi.

Notably, several Twitterati also pointed out that the picture of Hitler used by Spandana was "photoshopped" and that the original picture only had him resting his hands on the little girl.

One of them commented, "U guys really need to check before you tweet, hire a better photoshop expert or hire someone to just check the photoshopped picture before you tweet."  However, there were a few netizens who found the post funny and tweeted in support of Spandana.

In the past as well, Spandana has sparked rows and courted controversy for posting memes and jokes mocking Prime Minister Modi and the BJP leadership.

Last November, Spandana had kicked up a storm after she tweeted a picture referring to PM Modi as a ’bird dropping’. The picture showed PM Modi standing at the foot of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel monument in Gujarat, which she had captioned as "Is this a bird dropping?"

In March this year, the Congress IT cell head had shared a meme calling supporters of PM Narendra Modi as "stupid". She had tweeted out a meme with a picture of PM Modi with an overlaid text saying, "Did you know? 1 out of 3 Modi supporters are just as stupid as the other two." Along with the picture, she had written, My favorite! Aren’t they adorable?”
