Rakshana Vedike stages dharna; demands early completion of Varahi project

Mangaluru, Jan 19, 2015: The Tulunada Rakshana Vedike activists staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on January 19, Monday demanding the early completion of the Varahi project.The tagline of the demonstration was ‘Give water from Varahi-  Leave River Netravathi to us.”

 

 

The demonstrators criticised the authorities for the inordinate delay in the completion of the Varahi project.

Yogish Shetty Jeppu and other leaders of the Vedike participated in the demonstration.
