Raknno Prakashan books ’Lampyanv and Mirsang Millibai’ released

Mangaluru, June 4, 2015: Raknno Publications  two books ’Lampyanv’ (Lantern) and `Mirsang Millibai’ (Chilli Millibai)  written by Senior writers Fr Victor A. Pinto and Charlie Kulshekar respectively was released at Bishop’s House on Thursday, June 4.

’Lampyanv’ (Lantern) a collection of socio- religious analytical articles based on scriptures and church teaching was released by the Chief Guest of the occasion Roy Castelino, the President of Karnataka Konkanni Sahithya Academy and `Mirsang Millibai’ (Chilli Millibai) a collection of stories for children was released by Guest of Honour Venkatesh Baliga, the Editor of `Kodiyala Kabara’ Konkanni fortnightly.  These are the 115th and 116th books of Raknno Publications.

 

 

 

On the occasion the editorial responsibility of Raknno and Kajulo was officially handed over to the newly appointed editor and Konkanni linguist Fr Valerian Fernandes.

V. Rev. Msgr Denis Prabhu the Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore presided over the programme and wished every best to Raknno and newly appointed editor.  Outgoing editor was thanked for his 10 years editorial leadership.

Sub Editor of Rakno Pachu Ferar introduced the books as well as the writers. While editor Fr Francis Rodrigues welcomed the gathering, Vithori Karkal compered the programme and Benedicta Rosario proposed vote of thanks.
