Rains uproot huge tree at Attavar; transformer, cars damaged

Mangaluru, May 18, 2018 :  The heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning that lashed the city on May 17, Thursday night  uprooted a huge tree  which fell over an electric transformer at Attavar Babugudde. Even cars parked nearby were damaged due to the tree fall.

 

 

 

 

 

 A total of three electric poles were also damaged in the mishap. The fire service personnel who rushed to the spot cleared the road of the tree branches and ensured smooth movement of traffic.

Local Corporator Shailaja and other members of the public also assisted in the relief operation.

Power supply has been disrupted in the area following the damage caused to the electric transformer.
