Radio Sarang distributes pots for kitchen waste management

Mangaluru, Oct 17, 2020:    Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Fr Melwin J. Pinto has said that all must make the whole world into one’s home and not home as one’s only world. He was speaking at a function to distribute custom made kitchen waste management pots here on Friday. The function was organised jointly by Radio Sarang and Ramakrishna Mission.

Fr Pinto Said: “All must understand that it is only when we take responsibility for the waste we generate that we can keep our surroundings clean. Keeping our environment clean will help us keep our hearts and minds clean.”


Forty interested persons were given custom made pots to manage kitchen waste and thus produce manure at home. Volunteer from Ramkrishna Math, Ranjan Belarpady, deputy secretary and nodal officer of Dakshina Kannada Jilla Panchayat Swatch Bharat Mission, Anand Kumar K, Principal St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Dr (Fr) Praveen Martis SJ were present. Sachin Shetty, a volunteer from Ramkrishna Mission gave the demonstration of using the mud pots.
