Vinayak baliga murder caseMangaluru, June 1, 2016: The hearing into the bail application of Naresh Shenoy, the key suspect in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case has been  adjourned to June 6.

It may be recalled here that Shenoy who has been absconding ever since he was named a suspect in the case, had first filed an anticipatory bail plea at the Sessions Court at Mangalore, which was duly rejected. Then he had moved the High Court which too had adjourned the hearing. Later an application was  filed for interim bail and the same was also  adjourned.

The police are under immense pressure to arrest those behind the murder of the RTI activist. Police have already  arrested three persons including two suspected hired killers  in connection with the case. They had recently even taken into custody photographer Manju Neereshwalya said to be a close friend of the absconding Naresh Shenoy.  Manju is presently out on bail.
