Quarry owner attacked; locals trap one accused

Puttur, June 28,2017 : A group of six assailants assaulted a quarry owner at Kabaka on June 28, Wednesday. Locals who immediately rushed to the rescue of the quarry owner named Khader from Kallandadka, trapped one of the assaulters named Blade Sadiq and handed him over to the police.

He is said to be a notorious rowdy who has over 12 cases against him in Karnataka as well as Kerala.

The assailants had come by a car and five of them fled by the same vehicle.

The injured quarry owner has been hospitalised. The reason behind the attack is not known.
