Puttur gang rape case : SP warns against offensive posts

Mangaluru, July 04, 2019 : District Superintendent of Police Laxmi Prasad has warned of legal action against those  resorting to malicious propaganda by revealing on social media some personal details  regarding the victim of a gang rape case  in Puttur.

The SP said that  resorting to such acts was in violation of law.

It may be recalled here that a case was registered at the Puttur women’s police station against a few youth on charges of gang raping a student.

In another development,  reports indicate that the photos of a girl who was in no way connected to the Puttur incident were also making rounds in social media.
