Puttur SDPI Chief electrocuted while installing flex banner

Puttur, Oct 11, 2018: The President of Puttur unit of SDPI, Hamza Afnan was electrocuted  while erecting a flex banner  pertaining to an SDPI conference on October 10, Wednesday night.

 

The tragic incident occurred near the petrol bunk at Darbe.  Hamza along with other SDPI activists was engaged in the task of erecting the flex when its iron frame came into contact with a live wire resulting in the tragedy. However, no one else was injured in the mishap.

Puttur Town Police have registered a case.

The SDPI conference is scheduled to be held on October 12, Friday.
