Puttur: Pick-up vehicle goes amuck; kills cop, injures 5

Puttur, Feb 04, 2015:A pick-up vehicle which went out of control of its driver at Boluvar and rammed against as many as four bikes and a car,  claimed the life of a police constable  and injured  five persons before coming to an abrupt halt.

 

The deceased constable is Nemiraj (45). It is learnt the pick-up vehicle carrying plywood, first  crashed against the two-wheeler of Nemiraj from the rear end and later  rammed into a Desire car and three other two-wheelers. Nemiraj is learnt to have died on the spot. The mishap took place when he was  riding his bike towards Mahaveer Medical Centre from Darbe.

A case has been registered by Puttur Traffic Police.
