Puttur: Headmaster arrested for raping teacher

Puttur, Nov 13, 2019:  The  Uppinangady police have arrested Manjunath (41), headmaster of Government Higher Primary School of Padmunja in Belthangady taluk  on the charges of raping a  teacher who was earlier serving the same school. He was produced before the court on November 12, Tuesday and remanded to judicial custody.

 

The teacher in her complaint had alleged that Manjunath  had promised to regularise her services and had raped her in the school on April 14. The teacher had also stated that she had not complained soon after the incident out of fear.
