Puttur: Constable donates plasma, saves life

Puttur, Sep 12, 2020:    Ranjith Kumar Rai, a head constable serving in the D R  division in the office of District Superintendent of Police, has  won appreciation for saving the life of a Covid-19 patient   by donating plasma.

 

Ranjtith who hails from Keyyur village, on coming to know that a retired bank officer named Poornananda  from Brahmavar who was admitted to the K S Hegde Hospital at Derlakatte was battling for life following reduction in plasma count in his blood, had donated his plasma.  The patient is said to be now on the path of recovery.

Ranjith is the first cop from the  Police Department in the district to donate his plasma. He says he has the satisfaction of saving a life through his deed.
