Puttur : Congress stages dharna demanding railway overbridge at Salmara

Puttur, Feb 11, 2019:  The Puttur Block Congress staged a dharna near the Salmara Railway Crossing on February 11, Monday demanding construction of a railway overbridge in the area.

Addressing the protestors, former minister Ramanatha Rai said though a leader from Puttur was elected the MP and even became a Railway Minister it was  indeed a tragedy that he could not provide  a railway over bridge at Salmara.

Former MLA Shakuntala Shetty who also addressed the protestors said a railway overbridge in the area would be a reality  within three months if the Congress wins the next elections.

Several party leaders and workers participated in the protest.
