Puttur: Bhajana Satsanga Samavesha from feb 8 to 9

Mangaluru, Feb 06, 2020:   ‘Bhajana Satsanga Samavesha-2020’, ‘Samuhika Koti Shiva Panchakshari Japayajna’ and ‘Bhajana Sankeerthana’ procession will be held at Devaragadde, Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in Puttur on February 8 from 9 am to 8 pm.

These events are being organised by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Bhajana Parishat, Bhajana Satsanga Samavesha Samiti-2020, Puttur and Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project.

Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Bhajana Parishat (and Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Bhajana Satsanga Samavesha Samiti-2020) President Dhanyakumar Rai Biliyuruguttu made the announcement here on Tuesday.

The registration of Bhajan troupes will begin at 8.30 am. As many as 1200 bhajan troupes have registered their names.

The programme will be inaugurated at 9.30 am by Manila seer Sri Mohanadasa Paramahamsa Swamiji, Vajradehi mutt seer Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji and Kondevuru mutt seer Sri Yogananda Swamiji.

Mass bhajan dance demonstration will be held from 10 am to 11 am. The installation ceremony of the Central Committee of Pragathi Bandhu self- help groups will be held at 11 am.

The programme will be presided over by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade. Hemavathi V Heggade of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala will inaugurate. Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Mathandur and SKDRDP CEO Dr L H Manjunath will be present.

A lecture will be delivered by Kashekodi Suryanarayana Bhat on ‘Transformation through Bhajan’ at 12 noon. Bhajans will be sung by selected Bhajan troupes at 1 pm, on the main stage.

A Bhajana Sankeerthana procession will be taken on the main streets of Puttur from 2 pm. Mass chanting of Koti Shiva Panchakshari will be held on the main stage at 4 pm, followed by Bhajanotsava at Devaragadde from 4.30 pm.

The Bhajana Satsanga Samavesha will be presided over by Dr D Veerendra Heggade at 5.30 pm. Subrahmanya Samputa Narasimha Mutt seer Sri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji will deliver a spiritual discourse on the occasion.

Muzrai, Fisheries, Port and Inland Transport and District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, V Hemavathi
Heggade, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Puttur MLA Sanjiva Mathandur and SKDRDP Puttur Executive Officer Navin Kumar Bhandary S will be present.

Students of SDM College Ujire will take part in cultural programmes at 6.30 pm. Dhanyakumar Rai added that the entire programme will be plastic-free.
