Puttur: Bellare Police arrest duo in Chain Snatching Case

Puttur, Feb 4, 2024: The Bellare police have effectively resolved a chain snatching case by apprehending two individuals involved in the incident.

According to the police, Noushad B A, a resident of Narimogaru in Puttur, and his accomplice Chandramohan, 42, from Kasaragod, were taken into custody in connection with the chain snatching incident that occurred on January 11. The accused had forcibly taken a woman’s gold chain at Pambar in Kolthige village of Puttur.

In response, the DK police established a dedicated investigation team that successfully captured the culprits. The police team confiscated the stolen chain, valued at Rs 80,000, and a two-wheeler worth Rs 1 lakh from the duo. SP C B Ryshyanth commended the efforts of the police team led by ASP Dharmappa MN.


The police department received praise not only internally but also in the public domain for the successful operation carried out by the special investigation team.
