Put an End to Corruption: AITUC

Mangalore ,Friday 10th 2012:  On The occasion of 70th Year of Quit India Movement which was observed on Thursday Aug 9th , The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) DK and Udupi District Committee Staged a protest in front of the DC’s office on Thursday, urging the state Government to meet their demands including steps to curb Inflation, Fixation of Minimum wages of Rs. 10,000 for the labourers, compulsory accreditation to labour organisations, Monthly pension to be fixed at Rs. 3,000 under the Bhavishya Nidhi pension Scheme, and action on illegal mining report by Lokayukta, Santhosh Hegde.

AITUC, DK and Udupi District General Secretary H.V Rao demanded strong measures to curb corruption that is posing a threat to the democracy. S, K Beedi Workers Federation President P.Sanjeeva demanded the state and the central Government for dissolution if they fail to put an end to the corruption.
