Public Felicitation held for Alangar priest Rev Basil Vas

Mangaluru, May 29, 2017 : An official reports informs that Rev Basil Vas, parish priest of Holy Rosary Catholic Church Alangar was felicitated accorded a public felicitation at Samaja Mandir Moodbidri, May 28,, 2017. Several prominent local leaders of all faiths hosted this event for the services rendered by Rev Basil to the society.

 

 

The President of the Felicitation was  MLA Mulki-Mudbidri constituency, K. Abhay Chandra Jain,  Local leaders  Jagadish Adhikari, Amarnath Shetty, Abulaha,  Mohan Alva and religious leader Msgr Edwin  Pinto, and Shri Shri Shri Ishwar Bhat were present along with other priests religious and parishioners of parishes of Moodbidri deanery.

 

Mohan Alva, director of Alva’s education trust gave the key note address, wishing rev Basil Vas for his high caliber work for the community in general around Moodbidri. More leaders like Rev vas are a need today, Alava wished him well for his future ministry at Madanthyar Parish.

 

All the leaders present spoke highly of Rev Fr Basil and his work especially in the field of education, community building, parish work and inter-religious harmony; and wished his future ministry well, that he may continue his good work where he is assigned to go and many more places.

 

Mr P K Thomas, member of Moodbidri Municipality and president of Akrama Sakrama, welcomed the gathering and Mr L J Fernandes of Alva’s education trust thanked everyone  for their support in making this program a success. The Felicitation ended with all present thanking Rev Basil for his services and wished him well for his future ministry.
