Protest against delay in Pumpwell flyover completion

Mangaluru, Oct 08, 2018: A protest was held at  Pumpwell on October 8, Monday  by the Pumpwell Flyover Action Committee in association with various other organisations demanding the early completion of the  Pumpwell and Thokkottu flyover works and also to  construct a fly over at Nantur.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The protestors alleged that the inaction of the authorities and the  district administration as well as the irresponsibility of the contracting agencies of the National Highway Authority  of India has left this project limping.

The several accidents at Pumpwell due  to the incomplete flyover works has already claimed  several lives, they alleged.

DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla, District Chief B K Imtiyaz, Corporator Praveenchandra Alva, social activist M G Hegde, Pumpwell Flyover Action Committee Convenor Sunil Kumar Bajal and others participated in the protest.
