Property Dispute: Panchayat member allegedly assaulted with lethal weapon

Bantwal: September 12, 2015: Two persons were ruthlessly assaulted including a gram panchayat member over a property dispute in Nellikar in Moodabidri.

The accused has been identified as Mithrasena.

According to the sources the victim Uday Poojary, member of Nellikar gram panchayat was standing outside his office premises and speaking to person named Prashant when the accused Mithrasena allegedly assaulted with lethal weapon.

Uday poojary suffered serious injuries was rushed to a private hospital.

Prashanth too suffered critical injuries. It is learnt that the dispute over property led to the attack.

Mithrasena was arrested by the police and a case has been registered against him.
