Promise of govt jobs : Lady from Naguri accused of cheating over 500

Mangaluru, June 09 2017:  A woman  named Geetha Shenoy who resides at Naguri here has been accused of cheating over 300 people after collecting money from them with a promise of offering government jobs. It is said the accused hails from Udyavar in Udupi district but is  a resident of Naguri.

 

It has been gathered that she  used to make people believe that she was an employee at the DC office.

Durga Sene volunteers who came to know about the cheating done by Geetha brought her to the Women’s Police Station from where she was later taken to Bunder station.

Geetha spoke to the affected people in the presence of the police personnel and assured to return their money.
