Prohibitory order in city today

Mangaluru, Dec 06, 2018: Police Commissioner T.R. Suresh has issued an order prohibiting protest rallies, victory processions, public meetings and other demonstrations in the city on Thursday in view of the 26th year of the Babri Masjid demolition.

The order will be in force between 6 a.m. and midnight.

In the order issued on Wednesday under Section 35 of the Karnataka Police Act, Police Commissioner Suresh said that there will be bar on holding jathas, blocking roads and picketing.

The prohibitory order will be applicable only to areas coming under the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate only.
