Private doctors on strike across DK, Udupi; govt hospitals witness heavy rush

Mangaluru, June 17, 2019: Doctors serving in private hospitals and those running private clinics across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts  are on a strike on June 17, Monday as per rhe call given by the Indian Medical Association  in the wake of the recent assault on doctors in a Kolkata hospital.

Except emergency services no other services are available to the patients resulting in heavy rush in District Wenlock Hospital and Ladygoschen Hospital.  Meanwhile, Outpatient Departments of Private Hospitals  will remain closed till 6 am on Tuesday.

Private doctors who are on a strike are expected to hold a meeting at the IMA Auditorium at Attavar.
