Prisoners shifted to ensure social distancing in Mangaluru jail

Mangaluru, April 18, 2020:   The prisoners in the Mangaluru jail have been temporarily shifted in the wake of Coronavirus fears, according to jail officials.

 

At least 80 prisoners have been shifted to ensure social distancing in the prison. There were 311 inmates in the prison including six women. As the capacity of the prison is 210 as of now 80 have been shifted to another prison in the state, informed jail officials.
