Priority to vented dam construction in DK : Minister Krishna Bhaire Gowda

Mangaluru, Aug 21, 2018:  State Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Krishna Bhaire Gowda has said that the  government would accord priority towards construction of more vented dams in Dakshina Kannada district.

 

 

 

He was speaking after inspecting the works of the Goltamajalu vented dam in Bantwal taluk. He said the target is to build 1000 vented dams by this year end in the district. Already 458 dam works are complete, he added.

State Minister for Urban Development and DK District in-charge Minister U T Khader, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik,  former minister B Ramanatha Rai and other elected representatives were present.
