Prime accused in Paivalike gang rape case behind bars

Kasargod, Aug 08, 2014:  Manjeshwar Police who are investigating into the case of alleged gang rape of a young woman at Paivalike Bayar on August 5, Tuesday evening, have succeeded in arresting the prime accused in the case.

The arrested person is Zakki alias Zakaria ((27),  of Paivalike Baryar. Search is on for the other two accused.

The three are facing charges of dragging the young woman to an isolated area and raping her. The incident had taken place when the 21 year old woman was returning home from the town.

The accused is learnt to be involved in various other cases. Police said the victim is recovering in the hospital.
