Pregnant woman rape, murder case : Accused convicted

Kundapur, Feb 15, 2018: A man identified as Prashanth Mogaveera has been convicted by the Kundapur District and Sessions Court  in connection with the case of rape and murder of a pregnant woman. The incident  had taken place on April 11, 2015 at Moodugopadi.

 

The Court will pronounce the quantum of punishment to Prashanth on February 20.

Prashanth who had entered the house of Indira  had  requested for water and then raped the woman. He later crushed her  head using a boulder  and escaped with her gold necklace.

He was arrested within a few hours after the incident. Senior advocate Ravikiran Murdeshwar was the special public prosecutor in this case.
