Pregnant girl complains her life is under threat

Mangalore, May 13, 2014 :  A complaint has been filed by a 19 year old backward community girl from Kunjathbail with the  Kavoor Police, to the effect that 22 year old Dileep, a resident  of Marakada Kavoor who had befriended her a year ago was threatening to kill her. She also alleges that he is responsible for having made her pregnent.

 The girl has stated they had physical relations after the youth Dileep gained her confidence assuring her that he would marry her. After the young man became aware she was pregnant he started picking quarrels with her on one pretext or another.

When the girl demanded that he marry her as promised, his behavior became rude and insulting, stating that she was of a low caste and could not do so. Dileep also started threatening the complainant that he would kill her if she revealed the matter to anyone.

The Police arrested Dileep and produced him in court on May 12, he has been remanded to custody it is stated.
